Perfecting The Art Of Staying
This hidden paradise was built in 1990th. The art Deco style of the impressive lobby and the main buildings were inspired by the renowned architect and designer Frank Wright’s who designed Tokyo’s Imperial Hotel. Traditional stone carvings, elegant local arts and handicrafts accentuate over 4.5 hectares of verdant tropical gardens, designed by renowned landscape architect, Bill Bensley.
Living The Tradition.
The Hotel temple, situated on the peaceful side north-east of the hotel was built in 1990s, the same time as the construction of the resort, to protect the hotel and everyone in it from evil spirits. It is divided into two sections: the entrance where Penunggung Karang, the gods who watch over the entire premises and two Apit Lawang, gods who guard the entrance of the temple settled and the inside area, the Jeroan where the main ceremonies are held. The temple celebrates its anniversary on the 5th full moon of the year, which usually falls around October or November.
